Calgary was a great stop, especially since we had cuddles with the new grandson. We spent time catching up with our daughter and son-in-law and their dog, Wally. It was so nice to be back with family and we really appreciated how much the baby had grown in the ten weeks since we had seen him last.
We had some rain which was visiting time, and some sun which was good for visiting the Calgary Zoo. Mandy finally got to see two moose at the zoo, not in the wild, and fortunately not on the grill of the van! We headed west on Sunday. The drive through the mountains validated the decision to buy all weather tires; we had snow. Not an issue stopping near 3 Valley Gap then down to Enderby to see our niece and her husband. Again, great seeing family!
We have been a bit quiet on the blog as we would be back in Kamloops earlier than originally expected and wanted to surprise the Kamloops grandkids at school. It was great getting the hugs after the confused looks on their faces cleared, so worth making the push home.
We dropped our bikes off at home but couldn't be home as the Airbnb is occupied for a few days. We are back to where we started, in the driveway of our friends; back but not home.
On day 90 we headed off to Tofino and Campbell River for the last full week of our 100 days. Kind of funny, work checked in with me to confirm I was coming back in November - reluctantly, I will be. For now, I am sitting at the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay catching up on the blog. The adventure continues, if only for a little longer.
